Superintendent of Education (Temporary)
Bluewater District School Board invites applications for the position of temporary Superintendent of Education, for the period of January 5, 2026 to June 30, 2026, with a possibility of extension. We are seeking a creative, dynamic, and committed educational leader to join our executive team.
Superintendents of Education in Bluewater District School Board demonstrate their commitment to the priorities of the board's Multi-Year Strategic Plan by ensuring and promoting the well-being of students and staff, quality education and learning experiences, and alignment of resources for student success. As exemplary instructional leaders, Superintendents of Education possess superior interpersonal, communication, collaborative decision-making and team-building skills. Applicants must demonstrate their ability to support the improvement of student achievement and well-being while working as part of multi-disciplinary teams of staff, trustees, parents, and community members. A commitment to equity and provision of leadership to administrators in creating inclusive and instructionally effective learning environments that support achievement and well-being for all students must be demonstrated.
The successful candidate should have proven skills or related experience in the following areas: instructional leadership; educational politics and policy; educational leadership and finance; social impacts and roles within school settings and larger community; organizational and change theory; and personnel management.
