Overview:BW Gold is a wholly owned subsidiary of Artemis Gold Inc (xe2x80x9cArtemisxe2x80x9d). Artemis is listed on the TSX Venture exchange, and is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with strong financials aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining friendly jurisdictions. Our current focus is construction of the Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver.This is an excellent opportunity for you to join an entrepreneurial organization focused on technical excellence without the bureaucracy of larger firms. You will have the ability to make a significant contribution to the project team as the Company pursues the disciplined development of the Blackwater Mine. Artemis Gold received its BC Mines Act permit for Blackwater Mine in March 2023 enabling the project to move into major works construction. Reporting to the Manager xe2x80x93 People & Development, the Superintendent xe2x80x93 Human Resources is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the human resources team. Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems, ensures all health, safety, and environmental policies, and rules and regulations are posted in designated areas.Location: Blackwater Mine Site - located 160km southwest of Prince George, BC.Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On - Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate and promote BW Goldxe2x80x99s safety standards, procedures, and systems, fostering a xe2x80x9cSafe to Speak-upxe2x80x9d culture.
  • Lead, mentor, and guide HR Advisors and Administrators to achieve team objectives, assign tasks, set expectations, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Address employee relations matters, including workplace conflicts and fair treatment complaints, ensuring consistent and fair resolutions.
  • Provide guidance on performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and continuous feedback.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with management to create an environment where employees feel heard, valued, recognized, and empowered.
  • Design, execute, and analyze employee engagement surveys; develop and implement action plans based on findings.
  • Provide leadership for the employee recognition program to align with company values and promote consistent use.
  • Partner with area managers/superintendents on staffing needs and effective hiring strategies.
  • Create and deliver leadership training programs focused on first and second-line leaders.
  • Provide leadership on strategic HR programs and system implementation to meet operational and strategic goals.
  • Facilitate talent reviews, succession planning, and administer compensation programs, including salary adjustments and bonuses.
  • Offer insights and recommendations for enhancing HR processes and initiatives.
  • Assist in developing the annual departmental budget and monitor related costs.
  • Lead or oversee investigations into Category A misconduct, ensuring adherence to the Investigations Framework.
  • Provide guidance on compliance-related matters and support regulatory adherence.
  • Analyze HR data to generate actionable insights and KPIs for decision-making.
  • Work with managers/superintendents to develop Employee Development Pathways, ensuring consistent practices for placement, development, and reviews.
  • Support employees in their development pathways and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist in the execution and support of site-wide HR initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 8 yearsxe2x80x99 human resources experience in a mining field required
  • Diploma or bachelorxe2x80x99s degree with a focus on Human Resources
  • Strong understanding of labour laws, employment practices and HRM principles
  • Proficiency in human resources software and Microsoft Office Suite, including data analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
  • Experience with Human Resources Information System implementation and utilization
  • Experience supervising a team
