About Potash

In 2021, BHP approved a CA$7.5 billion investment in Jansen Stage 1 in Saskatchewan, Canada, which is aligned with their strategy of growing exposure to future facing commodities in world-class assets. Potash opens a new front for growth and is an expandable resource that can support a century or more of operations. Potash provides BHP with greater diversification by commodity, country, and customer.

Purpose

Reporting to the Manager Hybrid Cloud Spokes, the Superintendent Cloud & Infrastructure Potash will lead a team of skilled individuals and vendor resources that will help deliver consistent outcomes for the Cloud & Infrastructure team, and to our customers in the Potash and Legacy Asset technology teams. This position will represent our customers through enhanced engagement and collaboration and assist with providing cloud and infrastructure services.

This role will manage both networks and hybrid cloud resources focused on the delivery of solutions for Potash and Legacy Asset projects.

Work Location

Downtown, Saskatoon office. 40 hours per week. Hybrid working (flexible, shared workstations and a combination of office and work from home) is standard for BHP.

About the Role

  • Manages the resourcing and assignment of the Cloud & Infrastructure team\'s resources to best meet customer needs
  • Oversees consultancy and technical advisory services within team
  • Works with both Project and Delivery Managers to oversee the delivery of project outcomes from design, build, configuration, migration, Transition to Operations (TTO), and decommission
  • Oversees the delivery of TTO activities undertaken by hybrid cloud and network resources
  • Provides engineering and operational support for hybrid cloud and network services
  • Provides leadership and manages the development of a team of technical resources
  • Participates in the development of business cases creating buy-in that supports life cycle management and improvement of cloud and infrastructure services
About You

The successful candidate will ideally possess:
  • Strong customer engagement experience and ability to negotiate outcomes
  • Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
  • Background in delivering solutions from design, build, configuration, migration, TTO, and decommission
  • Strong consultancy and technical advisory experience
  • Exposure to change management implementation in a large complex organization
  • Outstanding skills liaising with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of management ideally in a multicultural environment
  • Experience in establishing and building a team
  • Experience in leading and developing a team and individuals
  • Exposure to Risk and Portfolio management
  • Experience in infrastructure services
