As an experienced Superintendent- Anaerobic Digestion Facility Construction working in the Operations team at Pomerleau Construction, you will support new and ongoing project growth, challenging industry standards with your trade-driven expertise and knowledge. Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects - ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion - you will work closely with the project management team, various client groups and subtrades to ensure project excellence through your outstanding leadership, keen eye for detail and commitment to quality, and health and safety.


What You Will Do





Supervise daily on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to maintain workflow and resolve issues. Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Monitor installation of process piping, gas handling systems, and mechanical equipment. Support commissioning and startup activities in collaboration with project engineers.

Preferred Qualifications7+ years of experience in industrial or infrastructure construction. Background in renewable energy, wastewater, or agricultural infrastructure is a plus. Certifications in construction safety (e.g., OSHA, COR) and first aid. Comfortable with digital tools for reporting and scheduling (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of process piping, pressurized gas systems, and mechanical installations. Experience with anaerobic digestion, biogas, or waste-to-energy facilities is a major asset. Familiarity with construction safety standards, especially in confined spaces and gas environments and TSSA regulation. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and construction documents.

Leadership & Field ManagementProven ability to lead and motivate field crews and subcontractors. Skilled in site logistics, material coordination, and schedule tracking. Strong problem-solving skills to address field issues in real time. Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Communication & CoordinationClear communicator with the ability to liaise between field teams, project managers, engineers, and clients. Experience in conducting toolbox talks, safety briefings, and progress meetings. Capable of documenting field activities, change orders, and daily reports.
