Building and maintaining our provincial infrastructure is no small job.
The Building Services Group at the Department of Public Works (PW) supports Nova Scotia\'s 2,400 buildings and infrastructure assets across a wide range of clients. We maintain and support various government buildings and assets, including museums, core buildings and office buildings, correctional centres, and justice centres.
Without our Building Services staff\'s proactive measures, equipment issues or failures could lead to an interruption of government services provided.
About Our Opportunity
As the Engineering Student, you will gain practical experience and receive training and mentorship from highly qualified Engineering professionals by working on our design projects and energy audits for our buildings. This is the perfect opportunity to jump start your career, gain an understanding of how mechanical design or electrical design works for buildings and also work with our energy professionals to understand how are we reducing our energy consumption and our GHG emissions and watch your contributions come to life as your design gets actually built.
We will provide you with all the required technical and protective equipment you need, and as a bonus, you get to keep the boots we provide you when your work term ends.
