Ashbury College is a leading not-for-profit independent day and boarding school for students in
Grades 4 to 12 located in Canada\xe2\x80\x99s capital and the traditional, unceded territory of the
Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation. We serve a diverse community of over 60 nationalities from
around the National Capital Region, the diplomatic community and international and domestic
boarding students.

Based in central Ottawa, Ashbury College\xe2\x80\x99s Summer Program is currently seeking a visual arts
educator, responsible for leading Ashbury\xe2\x80\x99s Summer Art program. This program runs over 3
consecutive weeks: June 19 \xe2\x80\x93 23, June 26 \xe2\x80\x93 30, and July 17 \xe2\x80\x93 21. Students range in age from 8 to
13 years old, and weekly enrolment is capped at 20 students,

We are seeking someone who cultivates the creativity and self-expression of every student,
bringing enthusiasm and energy to their classroom. Your teaching practice includes extensive
experience with a wide variety of art media including the use of technology, and imaginative
course design and delivery.

Your education, experience and qualifications include:

  • Teaching experience, with Ontario College of Teachers certification or equivalent
preferred.
  • B.A. or M.A. or relevant certification in Fine Arts.
  • Minimum 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience teaching 8- to 13-year-olds.




  • Evidence of consistently integrating student diversity and promoting student belonging
into your lesson plans and your classroom
