Best Brains Scarborough Morningside is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselor to join our team for the upcoming camp season.

Key Responsibilities:

Classroom Management:

Assist in maintaining a positive and organized classroom environment. Help students stay focused on their lessons and tasks. Encourage and motivate students to participate and engage in class activities.
Support Instruction:

Aid the Lead Instructor during lessons by providing additional support to students. Help clarify instructions and provide one-on-one assistance as needed. Facilitate group activities and discussions to enhance learning.
Student Assistance:

Respond to individual student needs, including academic, personal, and behavioral concerns. Assist students with personal needs, such as bathroom breaks, ensuring they return promptly and safely. Monitor and support students as they enter and exit the classroom, ensuring safety and order.
Administrative Support:

Prepare and organize classroom materials and resources. Assist with setting up and maintaining technology and equipment used in lessons. Record attendance and keep track of student progress and behavior.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or currently pursuing the degree Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children. Ontario Teaching Certificate is considered an asset. Valid First Aid/CPR certificate or willingness to obtain. Skills and abilities to create and develop camp activities and improve current curriculum.
Working Conditions:

Part-time hours, with flexibility based on class schedules. Classroom environment with frequent interactions with students and instructors. Occasional physical activity, such as assisting students with mobility or setting up classroom materials. Availability to work during the months of July and August on a full-time basis.
