About Us CASP's ultimate purpose is to reduce the suicide rate and minimize the harmful consequences of suicide-related behaviour through advocacy, communication, and education. We are a virtual organization with our employees working as part of a dispersed team across Canada.About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented professional with a passion for suicide prevention to join our team. Reporting to the Executive Director, this individual will be responsible for increasing membership, developing webinars/presentations, coordinating in-person and virtual events, support the activities of the CASP Suicide Bereavement Facilitator Network, and providing assistance to the Communications and Fund Development Manager with respect to communications/social media and media interviews.Terms Permanent, full-time, 7 hours per day, 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Occasionally evenings and weekends for events.Compensation $55,965 per year.Start Date ASAPLocation Remotely, home office within Canada. Responsibilities Membership

  • Serve as a key point of contact for new and existing members and suicide prevention resource organizations.
  • Engage with members and general public to provide education, information, resources, and policies.
  • Develop and execute successful strategies to engage new members and the general public.
  • Manage resource organization applications, including determining if appropriate to include in our directory.
  • Liaise with resource organizations to ensure the resource directory is accurate and up to date.
  • Conduct regular monitoring, analysis, evaluation, and reporting of education and engagement activities.
  • Coordinate and administer our CASP's Suicide Bereavement Support Group Facilitator Network.
Events
  • Support the development and implementation of various events, activities, webinars, presentations, and initiatives, which includes sourcing and coordinating speakers for events and interviewing people with lived experience.
  • Support the Communications and Fund Development Manager with communication activities that drive attendance to CASP events.
  • Develop, collect, and analyze event surveys and write post-event reports to ensure we are providing content of value and interest to the community.
  • Assist Event Strategist with the planning and execution of CASP's annual conference, which is in a different location every year.
  • Represent CASP at the annual conference and other events as appropriate. Travel within Canada will be necessary.
Other
  • Co-Chair the People Impacted by Suicide Working Group and Membership Advisory Group, which involves working closely with volunteers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
  • Warm, personable, collaborative professional who enjoys providing members and general public with support and consistently delivers exceptional client service.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English. Canadian French is an asset, but not required.
  • Reside in Canada and legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Reliable computer, stable and unlimited internet connection, webcam, and a secure, distraction-free, ergonomic environment in which to work. (Equipment and furniture are not provided or reimbursed.)
  • Ability to travel to attend the annual CASP conference.
  • Education related to mental health and wellness is an asset.
  • Knowledge of and experience in the mental health sector is a must (minimum 3-5 years), and with respect to suicide prevention would be an asset.
  • Passion for making presentations with experience in developing and hosting virtual events.
  • Resourceful with strong project management and event planning skills.
  • Comfortable with discussions about suicide with members and people with lived experience.
  • Superior organizational skills, problem solving, planning, and the ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Experience with compiling survey data, analyzing, and creating reports including charts and graphs.
  • Willing to take initiative and has the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Effective team player with sensitivity and finesse in cultivating and stewarding relationships.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and Zoom.
