Cenovus is seeking for a highly motivated and ambitious student to join our engineering function. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Thermal Engineering, the Thermal Completions Engineering student will learn and perform Completions and Well Servicing work focusing on SAGD wells. The successful candidate will perform day-to-day Completions and Well Servicing programming, Well-view data input/export, monthly KPI tracking, and technical evaluations on design and cost estimating.

Responsibilities

Design and implement completions and well-servicing programs

Track job entries and enter codes in Wellview

Develop and implement strategies to improve completions performance and reduce costs

Conduct OPEX KPI analysis and reviews

Monitor cost performance and cycle times to improve program efficiencies

Qualifications

Legally entitled to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)

Available to begin work in July 2023 OR September 2023

Education

Enrolled in an Undergraduate Program in any engineering field at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of the intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term

Skills / Competencies

Perform in a fast-paced work environment with dynamically shifting priorities and deadlines

Exceptional interpersonal, communication, organization and time management skills

Capable of working independently and cross-functionally in a multi-disciplinary team

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
