As the next Student Recruitment Officer in the Office of the Registrar, you\'ll join a team comprised of talented and committed individuals dedicated to enhancing student life and the student university experience.
We are looking for a dynamic individual who is energized by working with students, staff, faculty, and the public; someone who will enthusiastically perform duties related to recruitment of students to the University, including presenting the a variety of audiences, leading campus tours, initiating and leading other recruitment activities, providing accurate and complete information about application and registration processes, liaising and engaging with high schools and external user groups, and maintain accurate records of their activities.
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor\'s degree in a related field (such as Education, Business, Marketing, or Communication) and recent experience recruiting experience, preferably within an educational context. You should also have knowledge of Yukon First Nations history and culture, post-secondary options, strategic enrolment management theory and practice, and traditional and emerging recruitment strategies, and as well as excellence in composing a variety of correspondence.
Excellent customer service, a passion to connect with a variety of people, exemplary communication and interpersonal skills as well as problem-solving skills are essential.
Consideration will be given to those with an appropriate combination of education and experience.
This process will be used to create an eligibility list of qualified candidates to staff anticipated identical or similar perm/term/casual/seasonal vacancies as and when required. The duration of this eligibility list will be 6 months.
