Job Description

The Physics Department seeks applications for student laboratory assistants for the winter 2025 term for PHYS 1120, PHYS 1220 and PHYS 2120.RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Acting as a general resource person for students during the laboratory
• Monitoring student operations in conducting experiments
• Ensuring all computer and lab equipment is used safely
• Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as applicable

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Enrolled as a UPEI student
• Applicants will have successfully completed the course for which they are selected to assist in the tutorial, or have relevant alternative experience
• Preference will be given to students taking Physics as their major or minor
• Previous experience as a laboratory assistant is an asset
