Summary



The Community Investment team is the link between Bell and our communities. Our success is based on :

  • Effective, trust-based relationships with key community stakeholders;
  • Strategic participation in community events and activities;
  • Creating business partnerships that benefit both Bell and the community;
  • Analyzing and granting donations and sponsorships based on established philanthropic priorities, including the Bell Let\xe2\x80\x99s Talk initiative;

We are currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Manager, Community Investments (Quebec). The incumbent will have the following responsibilities;

  • Respond to email correspondence for the Diversity Fund, Post Secondary Fund and Mental Health Fund;
  • In collaboration with partner organizations, prepare cheque presentation events, including preparation of speeches, executive summary, social media posting;
  • Plan and implement strategic sponsorship investment opportunities and community events that will enhance the brand;
  • Bring together Bell employees who contribute to the community and are able to achieve these goals;
  • Build strategic relationships with key community stakeholders involved in targeted sponsorships and events;

Key Responsibilities



  • Act as the contact person for sponsorships and community activities for the Quebec Community Investments team;
  • Evaluate sponsorship opportunities based on specific criteria, respond to funding requests;
  • Participate in the preparation and follow-up of stewardship reports for community organizations that have received funding;
  • Organize all aspects of Bell\'s participation in events sponsored by the Community Investment team (management, planning, implementation and promotion of projects, communications, reporting, post-mortems, etc.);
  • Order promotional items in a dedicated online tool, prepare packages and do Purolator mailings;
  • Promote employee volunteerism and post volunteer opportunities in our online tool, explain the team volunteer program;
  • Track volunteer work and formally recognize employee volunteers for their efforts;
  • Prepare and deliver presentations at community events;
  • Manage all initiatives within a pre-determined budget.



Critical Qualifications



  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision;
  • Strong project management skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong leadership skills and innovative thinking;
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills;
  • Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Word, Excel;
  • Willingness to work OVERTIME (i.e. EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS occasionally, to attend community events;
  • Financial skills: Ability to manage the tracking of a detailed budget;
  • Ability to make presentations to community groups;
  • Demonstrate initiative and teamwork.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience in community relations, volunteerism, civic involvement or event planning and management;
  • Experience or education in communications or public relations.
