You will be a part of a driven, and collaborative team completing important projects while receiving the mentorship, knowledge, and experience to develop the skills you need to build an exciting career.The Husky Midstream Crude Oil Commercial & Development department is seeking a student who will assist in the creation of business cases, financial analysis, presentations, and economic models in support of business initiatives for Husky Midstream General Partnership.The successful applicant will also provide financial, project economics, business development information and analytical support to the team. They will work closely with the Commercial & Development Advisors in the creation of presentations, analysis, budgets & forecasts, and long-range plans. This person will report to the Senior Manager, Crude Oil Commercial & Development.Note: The application deadline for this position is Tuesday, June 11th at 11:59 PM (MST).What Youll Do

• Develop, modify, and maintain economic models for new and existing projects under direction of the Commercial & Development Advisors.
• Assist in the coordination and compilation of annual Business Plan, Budget & Forecasts, and Capital Plan.
• Oversee transportation and terminalling agreements to ensure monthly invoicing alignment.
• Maintain and update all required input fields within IPS (pipelines integrated management software system).
• Compile weekly & monthly financial and business reporting, with variance identification and investigate as required.
• Identify, evaluate, and present business process improvement and streamline opportunities to optimize Husky Midstreams assets and procedures.
• Actively investigate and stay current on changing conditions in the business environment, industry, Husky Midstream & customer operations, and investment opportunities.
• Research customer and market activities to support Commercial & Development Advisors.

Who You Are

• Legally entitled to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., Work Visa).
• Available to begin full-time work in September 2024.
• Excellent analytical and modelling skills required.
• Basic to mid-level understanding of financial concepts would be considered an asset.
• Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
• Basic to mid-level experience with PowerBI would be considered an asset.
• Attention to detail, superior organizational and analytical skills combined with the ability to multi-task required.
• Above average presentation and communication skills.
• Knowledge & experience gained by working within the Oil industry is an asset.

Education

• Must be enrolled in a Bachelor of Commerce Undergraduate Program specializing in Finance or Economics, or an Engineering Undergraduate Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.
• New Graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
