Various Duties:

Maintain contact with supervising professor weekly. Grade a variety of class assignments specific to the position and course, which can include the following: sight-signing, dictation, part-writing, analysis, counterpoint, short compositions, writing assignments (short paragraphs, reading responses, short essays). Grade the final exam. Report on frequent problems encountered in assignments, and on possible plagiarism. Organize time efficiently in order to finish assignments within a short turn-around window. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience:

School of Music graduate student preferred; upper-year undergraduates accepted. Knowledge of core music theory, history, and/or aural skills is essential. Previous experience with courses and their textbooks is preferred. Good English communication skills. Detail-oriented. Comfortable working independently and making independent judgments. Basic math skills. Familiarity with online platforms such as Zoom, Moodle and Microsoft Teams is

required.
