We are looking forApprentice and Journeyman Welder\'s and/or Fittersto workin our busy structural steel fabrication shop in Calgary! Full-time permanent work, day shift and night shift available, andlots of opportunitiesfor overtime! APPLY NOW! A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Reads and interprets blueprints or welding process specifications and welding symbols.
• Operates manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW).
• Removes welds using the Air Arc Gouging process.
• Completes assigned work within given timeframe and according to specifications.
• Accurately completes time sheets, weight sheets, hazard analysis sheets etc.
• Operates manual flame-cutting equipment.
• Adjusts welding equipment and tooling according to work specifications.
• Completes housekeeping duties in assigned area or project area on a daily basis and/or when required.

• One year of work experience in the traderequired
• Registered apprentice or Journeyman ticket required. Red Seal an asset to have
• Specialization in structural construction welding considered an asset.
• Ensures all required CWB qualifications are current.
• Possesses solid understanding of welding equipment and welding accessories.
• Possesses knowledge of pre-heat and post-heat temperatures and applications.

• Must have own transportation as location is not accessible with public transportation.
• Must have CSA approved safety boots.
• Must supply basic hand tools.
• Previous Overhead Crane experience or certification is an asset.
