We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Strata Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of multiple strata corporations, ensuring accurate budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to communicate effectively with the team.

Duties



Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports. Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collections. Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations. Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Yardi for efficient record-keeping. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to financial reporting. Ensure compliance with strata property legislation and financial regulations. Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and decision-making processes. Maintain organized financial records for audits and reviews. Process invoices, payments, and reserve fund transactions in a timely manner. Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for strata councils. Advise strata councils on financial best practices and provide clear, concise explanations of financial reports. Monitor and track strata operating and contingency reserve funds. Respond to inquiries from strata councils and owners regarding financial matters.

Qualifications



Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA, CGA, or equivalent designation preferred). 3+ years of experience in accounting in strata or property management. Strong knowledge of strata property legislation and financial regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with strata councils and owners. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $44,428.47-$77,296.49 per year
