Job Summary

Big Cheese Pizza is looking for an energetic individual for part-time weekday/weekend help. Availability should include both 11am-4:00pm and 4:00pm-8:00pm (10-20 hours per week) with other shifts available as they come up. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly by preparing ingredients, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the cooking staff in delivering high-quality meals. Duties include running the front cash, serving customers, preparing pizza toppings, cheese, dough and salad from scratch as well as making/baking pizzas. Dishes and other duties as needed. Responsibilities

Prepare and chop ingredients for various dishes according to recipes and specifications. Assist in the cooking process by following instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Participate in daily cleaning tasks, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role within the food industry is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in meal preparation. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule. Pay: $17.20-$19.00 per hour
