Job Summary Apply your expertise and passion for innovation to this rewarding career opportunity The position is responsible for evaluating information to assist in making recommendations upon review of subdivision/development proposals submitted by developers, engineers and the general public. The position will provide technical advice in evaluating the potential impact of proposed developments/land use applications as well as recommend action to rectify identified problems and concerns. The position serves as a focal point concerning the dissemination of information to industry and the public.
Job Requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years *related experience; OR,
Diploma from a recognized Institute of Technology (e.g. Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC) in a related (civil engineering, structural engineering, construction technology, surveying, geology, geography, or project management) discipline, OR a degree and a minimum of three (3) years *related experience; OR,
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
* Related experience must include:
experience evaluating information to assist in making recommendations
experience providing technical advice
experience preparing technical reports
experience working within statutes, regulations, bylaws, policies and procedures.
Preference may be given for the following:
Minimum two (2) years Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure experience

About this Position: This position has full time on-site requirements. There is currently 1 position available. This position can be based in any of the following Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure offices: Vernon, Salmon Arm. An eligibility list may be established to fill both current and/or future permanent vacancies in Vernon, Salmon Arm, Kelowna and Penticton. Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
