With the expansion of our facility,

Cascadia Metals

requires qualified candidates for the position of

Lead-Hand or Area Supervisor

in our Brandon facility. The successful candidate will be a driven team member, who shares our champion mindset and values. This is a hands-on role where the candidate is expected to help complete tasks while providing support to other employees in the area.

Responsibilities:

Communicate with production schedulers and other area leaders/supervisors Report to the Operations Manager Adhere to proper procedure and safety regulations Ensure correct personal protective equipment is always used Promote safety, quality and efficiency Help maintain a clean and organized work environment Culminate a strong team culture - Lead by example Monitor for potential mechanical problems and assist with routine maintenance Be comfortable with all duties in the area - Direct and develop new and existing employees Act as a role model for Cascadia Metals standards, values and behaviors.

Requirements:

Experience with industrial processing equipment and/or mechanical systems Must be highly mechanically inclined Excellent communication, organizationaltracking skills Strong decision makingproblem-solving skills Excellent leadership skills Strong attention to detail Average computer skills Must be able to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs. Leadership experience is an asset Forklift and/or overhead crane experience is an asset
