Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shop Supervisor to lead and oversee daily operations within our Steel Service Centre at Dave Copp Steel. We are a locally family owned Steel Service Center that takes pride in servicing Manitoba and beyond with all sorts of metal related products.

The Ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands on knowledge of steel processing operations, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, productive work environment.

Duties

and Responsibilities

Supervise daily shop operations and staff. Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines Oversee steel processing equipment ( saws, press brake, plasma etc.). Monitor inventory, materials, and equipment maintenance. Enforce company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized workplace. Communicate with sales, shipping / receiving and management regarding job priorities and deadlines. Conduct quality control inspections to verify workmanship meets company standards and customer expectations Maintain accurate records of daily operations, safety reports, material inventories, and project documentation Work hands one in the warehouse when needed.

Requirements

Experience in a steel service center / construction site supervision or management with a strong background in metals industry. An understanding of metal products, metal processing and industrial equipment. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards. Forklift and overhead crane experience is an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12,345.00-$123,456.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
