Medigroup Health Centre Pharmacy is a well established, and actively growing pharmacy located in the South West of Winnipeg Manitoba. We are looking for a Staff Pharmacist who is open to working 2 days a week at this location for July and August. Should the candidate be open to more hours or a full time schedule, we are open to discussing additional opportunities within our organization.

Job Responsibilities:

Check prescriptions for proper dosage Compound prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring and mixing the quantities of drugs and other ingredients required and filling appropriate containers with correct quantity Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other health care professionals and advise them on indications, contra-indications, adverse effects, drug interactions, and dosage Maintain medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs Ensure proper preparation, packaging, distribution and storage of vaccines, serums, biologicals, and other drugs and pharmaceuticals Offer information to assist patients in understanding how to properly take their prescribed medications Assist patients in solving problems, such as identifying old medication or finding an over-the-counter solution to minor health issues
Requirements:

License in good standing to practice pharmacy in Manitoba Strong understanding of Kroll Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong customer service abilities Reliable transportation Availability to work Saturdays Able to administer medications by Injection Additional Prescribing Authorization (optional)
