We're currently looking for a Staff Accountant, Private Enterprise to join our Vancouver office. In this role, you'll support the execution of compilation, review, and audit engagements, assist with tax filings, and build the foundational technical and client-service skills needed for a successful career in public practice.
You will work closely with a collaborative team of Partners, Managers, and Senior Accountants across a diverse client base. This is an excellent opportunity to learn, ask questions, and develop your skills while being surrounded by peers also pursuing their CPA. You'll receive mentorship, exposure to a variety of industries, and hands-on learning opportunities in a supportive, team-first environment.
How you'll make a difference
Support engagement execution
-- preparing working papers, financial statements, and tax filings that contribute to accurate, timely, high-quality client deliverables.
Develop strong technical and professional foundations
-- asking questions, seeking feedback, and participating actively in training and file work to build your public practice skill set and move toward CPA milestones.
Assist with client communication and information gathering
-- helping coordinate requests and maintain organized file documentation to ensure smooth engagement workflows.
Be a positive team contributor
-- supporting colleagues, learning from seniors and managers, and helping maintain a collaborative and friendly office culture where everyone can succeed.
Who you are
1-2 years of public practice experience (co-op, internship, or full-time experience welcomed)
Actively pursuing CPA or planning to begin the designation process -- we support CPA experience and development requirements
Experience with working papers, financial statements, and basic tax filings (corporate/personal) is an asset
Strong communication, attention to detail, and a growth-oriented mindset -- you are curious, eager to learn, and comfortable asking questions
Someone who enjoys teamwork and working with clients, and who wants to build a meaningful long-term career in public practice
Able to work in-office 4-5 days per week, especially during early career and training period
