Senior Staff Accountant, Assurance

Your role:
Assist in planning, execution and completion of a wide range of clients in either the large client Audit stream as part of a team, or the Private Enterprise stream focusing on Review and Compilation (T1, T2, T3, T5) engagements, both independently and as part of a small team.
Supervise junior staff during field assignments, inform managers of engagement status, and manage engagement progress.
Analyze financial information, accounting processes, and operations procedures; provide account reconciliations and propose adjusting entries.
Assess risk, controls, operational performance, and adherence to the applicable Financial Reporting Framework.
Prepare personal, corporate, non-profit organization, and charitable tax returns, if part of the private enterprise team.
Collaborate with peers and senior management on file planning and completion within time constraints.
Provide personal, attentive service to clients to encourage productive working relationships.
Prepare and review financial statements and related note disclosures.
What you bring to the table:
Successful completion of the Common Final Evaluation (CFE), at a minimum holding a status of CPA-in-waiting.
Minimum of three to five years direct experience.
Experience leading junior staff on client deliverables.
Project management and strong organization skills.
Experience with Caseware/Caseview, TaxPrep, Xero and Quickbooks (QBO) is an asset.
