Successful candidate will apply firm practices to perform various types of engagements, including audit, review and tax return preparation.

Primary Responsibilities




+ Preparation of year-end working paper files and financial statements in audit and review engagements. + Preparation of year-end working paper files and financial statements in compilation engagements.
+ Preparation of corporate and personal income tax returns, and other types of returns as required.
+ Working closely with staff at varying levels from Staff Accountant to Partner.
+ Engaging with clients, as needed, to gather required information to complete assigned tasks.







Knowledge and Skill Requirements




+ 3+ years of public accounting firm experience. + Canadian CPA designation.
+ Knowledge of ASPE, ASNPO, Income Tax Act and Excise Tax Act.
+ Being a self-starter and results driven.
+ Highly effective written, oral and interpersonal skills.
+ The ability to plan, prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner.
+ Knowledge of CaseWare is required.
+ Knowledge of Taxprep or similar tax preparation software, iFirm and Doc.it is an asset.
+ Access to a vehicle is an asset
