Robert Half is searching for an efficient Staff Accountant to join their growing team on a permanent basis. In this role, the Staff Accountant is in charge of preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Lend your skills towards developing and implementing accounting policies. Also, you will take part in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position plays an intricate part in producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Your responsibilities in this role

- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested

- Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules

- Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives

- In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

- Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

- Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

- Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable

- Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision

- Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

- Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

- Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries

- Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation

- Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

- Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

- Efficient in ERP systems

- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

- Financial Statement experience preferred

- Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation experience

- Proven knowledge of Profit and loss

- Well-founded grasp of Excel Formulas

- Quality experience with Quickbooks Online

- Deep understanding of financial statement preparation

- Practical knowledge of QuickBooks

- Balance sheets experience

- Comprehensive knowledge of Analyze Financial Statements

- General familiarity with Excel Formulas

- Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

- Vow to meet business deadlines

- 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
