We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Stable Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with horses and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment for both the animals and the facility. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being of the horses and the overall efficiency of the stable operations.
Horse experience is a must.
Duties
Provide daily care for horses, including feeding/water, Blanketing, Turn in/out.
Giving oral medication as needed.
Clean stalls and maintain cleanliness throughout the stable area.
Monitor horse health and report any concerns to management.
Perform general maintenance tasks around the stable, including minor fence repairs and paddock upkeep.
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth daily operations.
Skills
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for feeding, and cleaning tasks.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to animal welfare.
Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
Physical stamina to handle long hours of work in various weather conditions.
Reliable and dependable.
The hours are 8AM-4PM Saturday and Sunday with the option of additional hours.
This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy hands-on work while contributing positively to animal care.
