We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Stable Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily care and maintenance of horses and their environment, ensuring a clean, safe, and healthy space for the animals. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a passion for working with animals.
Duties
Clean and maintain stables, including mucking out stalls and ensuring proper bedding is provided.
Feed and water horses according to established schedules and dietary requirements.
Groom horses, including brushing, bathing, and checking for injuries or health issues.
Assist with the tacking up of horses for riding or exercise sessions.
Maintain equipment and tools used in the care of horses, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Monitor the health and behavior of horses, reporting any concerns to the supervisor.
Assist with general farm tasks as required, including heavy lifting of feed bags or hay bales.
Experience
Previous experience working with horses is required
Strong physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor tasks consistently throughout the day.
Good Communication Skills
