Hours:

Saturday 8am to 430pm

Sunday 8am to 430pm

Monday 8am to 430pm

Tuesday 8am to 430pm

Wednesday 8am to 430pm

All statutory holidays with Alberta Labor Standards pay. Overtime is paid with prior approval. Weekend hours are paid and extra $2.00/hour over and above regular wage.

Responsibilities:
- Feeding and watering horses on a daily basis
- Cleaning stalls and maintaining a clean and organized barn
- Grooming and bathing horses as needed
- Assisting with turnout and bringing horses in from the pasture
- Administering medications or treatments as directed by the veterinarian or barn manager
- Assisting with general maintenance tasks around the stable, such as fence repair or painting
- Training to operate farm machinery, such as tractors or mowers, for maintenance purposes

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with horses in a stable or farm setting
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, such as lifting hay bales or bags of feed
- Basic mechanical knowledge for operating and maintaining farm machinery an asset
- Knowledge of horse care and handling techniques
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions from the barn manager or supervisor
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others in a team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
