The Enterprise Portfolio Management and Governance Team (EPMaG) is at the heart of NEW, reinventing the way in which change is delivered at the bank, arming colleagues with lean process and encouraging new agile behaviors. EPMaG\'s looks to guide delivery activities efficiently while keeping the Bank safe.

At the heart of the EPMaG is the PMaG Enablement Pod, whose primary mandate is the standing up of all Segment and Functional PMaGs across TD. This pod is designed to provide support, training, guidance and the right tools for PMaGs to perform their roles as they move into NEW.

Job Requirements

  • Required skills
  • An influencer who can successfully champion ideas in an environment where uncertainty around change will exist at all levels in the organization
  • A people leader with previous experience championing Delivery within TDBG, including influencing leadership decisions
  • Knowledge of all aspects of the existing TD Project Delivery Governance and Methodologies, including PDLC, TD Agile, Smart Funding, PDGs and the EPDE
  • Hands-on experience delivering large, complex programs at TD
  • Expert knowledge of Agile disciplines and practices
  • Advanced skill in mentoring, coaching, listening, and providing feedback
  • Advanced familiarity with tools used in TD Delivery, including Clarity, Jira and Confluence
  • Advanced understanding of risk management, including delivery risk, and how to manage risk in an agile environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Governance from a delivery risk perspective, including a balanced approach to ensure processes are effective and scalable.
  • Nice to have
  • Certification or experience in Agile as a Scrum Master, Coach, SAFe expert or other Agile Discipline with equivalent expertise

Taking direction from the Product Owner for the PMaG Enablement Pod, accountabilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Play leadership role in operationalizing and designing an approach to stand up Segment/Function PMaGs across TD, including best practices, guidelines and training.
  • Hands-on development and support of new methods of Governance, designed to ensure decision making is efficient, documented and connected, while avoiding any negative impacts to the velocity of delivery execution.
  • Partner with Segment Portfolio and/or Delivery Functions, to assist in the understanding of the DEF and NEW as they are implemented in their processes
  • Working with all Risk and Delivery partners to ensure their needs are reflected in the governance activities being developed and rolled out within NEW
  • Manage reviews of new processes with Risk and Control Partners and assist in addressing responses to Audit Inquiries
  • Helping to design, test, and pivot solutions where info related to Portfolio Management and delivery performance is assessed for the purpose of ensuring progress against Objectives and Key Results
  • Educate Senior Leaders and colleagues on how to operate "safely" by way of adhering to the Delivery Execution Framework best practices and ensuring control processes are effectively informing Portfolio decision making
  • Completing analysis to determine the uptake of NEW processes and their effectiveness
  • SUGGEST IMPROVEMENTS by developing recommendations and plans to address lessons learned and improve NEW Governance activities
  • Be a champion for emerging NEW and PMaG best practices
