About the Role

  • Responsible for supporting the management, preparation, administration, and directing the control of the budget for large and/or complex programs. Performs analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and in accordance with accounting principles. Assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis. Conducts detailed and ad-hoc financial analysis. Interprets and implements most proposal estimating, pricing, and documentation requirements. Monitors program adherence to approved budget.
Responsibilities
  • Management and ownership of EAC process and analysis for assigned programs
  • Create and maintain detailed spreadsheets for large and/or complex programs to assist with program management, revenue forecast and EAC reporting.
  • Finance support for PMO and related projects on an as needed basis
  • Work with Cost Accounting on program reporting issues to ensure correction to programs and program reporting
  • Development and analysis of program financial information for monthly program reviews
  • Upon award of contract, establish contract baseline by element of cost (material, labour, overhead etc.)
  • Responsible for the creation and accuracy of monthly reporting to support development and ongoing monitoring of EACs
  • Prepare monthly program cost accruals and/or true up entry as required
  • Responsible for validation and booking of revenue and contribution margin on a monthly basis for applicable EACs
  • Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on processes, practices, and procedures.
  • Assist with the maintenance and improvement of the L3Harris Wescam price book, a significant tool in Bids and Proposals that allows the Wescam Division to perform complex financial analysis on bids
  • Financial support and analysis for major bids in preparation for SLT, Sector, Segment and Corporate approvals
  • Provide financial and business support as necessary for B&P team
  • Provide accurate and timely information to internal and external auditors as required
Required Skills and Experiences
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint (MS Office)
  • Ability to initiate, follow-up and close out investigations.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Team player, ability to develop strong working relationships with related key managers and support staff

Desired Experience & Education
  • Requires proficient knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Typically viewed as having a specialty within discipline.
  • May have practical knowledge of project management.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Previous program finance or audit experience is a plus.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Completed or in final stages of CPA Certification or equivalent experience is an asset
  • Experience in a large company environment with multiple subsidiaries, both Canadian and U.S. is an asset
