The Role This position is responsible for supporting various marketing and communications programs, campaigns, initiatives, and day-to-day marketing activities of both B2B and B2C audiences. This position works closely with Sales, Servicing, and other departments to execute on email initiatives. The Email Marketing and Communications Lead is expected to have a solid understanding of email marketing best practices and trends in their area of expertise. They work closely with the rest of the marketing team to ensure there is a strategic integration between all digital media. Responsible for creating, executing, and managing consumer and business focused email marketing initiatives and campaigns including analytics and reporting activities. They manage and maintain email marketing schedules and calendars for the business. Marketing Campaigns
Support the implementation of marketing strategy through planning and implementation of marketing campaigns and projects
Collaborate with internal and external resources to create and manage content execution
Liaise with vendors and internal teams to support multiple campaigns
Planning and delivery of analytics for campaigns
Summarize key results and analytics for campaigns and projects for projects under supervision
Assist in the identification of marketing opportunities
Internal and External Communications
Content creation for communication requests, company-wide, management of communication inbox
Assist in the execution of Marketing annual objectives
Ensure communications are clear, consistent, appropriately branded, and follow brand standards
Email Marketing
Manage the execution of emails on a day-to-day basis
Establish email marketing strategies using industry best practices and ensure timely execution of email marketing initiatives (B2C and B2B)
Set cadence of delivery times, manage email deployment calendar and communication for email campaigns
Work with the in-house creative team and content writer to co-ordinate production of email design, subject lines, and copy
Create and maintain internal process documents
List management and report creation in Marketing Cloud
Analyze ad hoc emails and email campaign results, issues, and opportunities. Adjust any and all aspects of email to improve results
Work closely with the Email Marketing and Automation Lead to create efficiencies and automation for email campaigns
Work with the in-house creative team to co-ordinate production of email design, subject lines, and copy
General Support
Backup of general administrative support
Marketing Processes and Standards
Comply with marketing standards and follow set processes for routine work
Assist with the development of marketing processes
Contribute ideas for improving marketing standards and processes
Ensure brand consistency across all campaigns and messages
What You Bring To The Team
A minimum of 3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in an email marketing or marketing role
Solid understanding of marketing campaign management
Knowledge of mortgage industry and mortgage brokering in Canada would be an asset
Experience in financial services, insurance, investments, or related field
Experience with email marketing and digital communication
Strong knowledge of best practices for email deployment practices, data, analytics, segmentation, list management, dynamic content, testing methodologies, deliverability, etc.
Experience with email deployment platforms such as Marketing Cloud, Pardot, and Constant Contact
Proficient data management and excel skills
Understands email regulations and privacy rules with a solid understanding of Canada\xe2\x80\x99s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)
Effective planning and project management skills
A proactive and ambitious marketer who enjoys developing new solutions to challenging problems
Experience using Marketing Cloud
Experience using Salesforce
Experience using Constant Contact, Pardot, and CVENT would be an asset
Solid experience with survey tools: use, integration with emails, landing pages, and complex results analysis
Strong internet, Excel, email, and electronic document management skills
Understanding of Canada\xe2\x80\x99s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Excited about data and finding useful nuggets of information to make smart marketing decisions
Experience running and optimizing large scale marketing campaigns
Knowledge of professional communications and marketing principles
