Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications, you will support the team with a range of marketing, design and promotional activities for ECO Canada’s products and services. This position requires some previous experience in key areas including graphic design, digital advertising, content and collateral development, email marketing, data analytics and more. While each member of ECO Canada has individual responsibilities, ECO takes a team-based approach. Everyone is encouraged to take ownership of his/her ideas and to see them through to completion, collaborating with key influencers as required. The Role The Digital Marketing and Communications Specialist supports marketing activities and is responsible for ensuring brand integrity across all digital mediums. Your key purpose is to ensure the accuracy of information available to our customers and support the effectiveness of our marketing programs. As an integral part of the Marketing and Communications team, you will work on building diverse digital marketing strategies, create thoughtful content, and execute those initiatives across multiple channels, both externally and internally. As a key member of the Marketing and Communications team, the Digital Marketing & Communications Specialist will have a passion for exceptional customer service, keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the team to implement and execute our digital marketing strategy
  • Create a detailed content strategy for all social media platforms and conduct audits to ensure best practices are being used
  • Develop graphics, ads and other visual content for program promotion and awareness
  • Write content for website, email campaigns, newsletters and more
  • Post, monitor, and engage with customers on social media channels daily
  • Monitor, track, evaluate, and optimize campaign performance
  • Maintain and update content on the company website
  • Create and monitor key online marketing metrics to track success
  • Design, develop and facilitate SEO and SEM strategies
  • Prepare, design, and distribute external e-blasts
  • Research and audit third party websites and social media channels
  • Analyze digital marketing results and provide insights and recommendations
  • Stay up to date with digital marketing trends
  • Complete monthly reporting on a variety of metrics
  • Ad hoc marketing, communications and administrative support as needed
Qualifications and Education Qualifications
  • Technical aptitude for working in multiple software programs and systems
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with teams and develop collaborative working relationships
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a customer-centric mindset
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and ethical business conduct
  • Experience using a social media management tool (Hootsuite, Sprout, etc.)
  • Strong interest in the environmental sector
Education and Experience
  • Post-secondary education in the field of graphic design, marketing, communications, or a related discipline
  • Excellent visual design ability and knowledge of graphic design principles required
  • Excellent command of the English language, with strong emphasis on written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of graphic design required (Canva, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop etc.)
  • Experience with website content management, development, and writing for the web
  • Advanced WordPress knowledge and experience an asset
  • Experience using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) and knowledge of content tools (Hootsuite/Buffer)
  • Experience using MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as general computer skills including file management and data entry
  • Experience creating social media plans and content calendars
This is a full-time position, with a three-month probationary period upon start date with the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement (minimum 3 days per week at the Calgary office and the option to work remotely for the remaining 2).
