The Senior Solution Architect is responsible for developing the architectural direction as part of the process of developing, customizing, integrating, and maintaining Suncor\xe2\x80\x99s technology systems.
This includes authoring solution architecture artifacts and playing the technology leadership role on all projects to which they are assigned. The Senior Solution Architect is typically working on high complexity / high risk projects that require expert architectural leadership and solutioning skills during the analysis and high level design phases of projects.

Minimum Requirements:

Five years of experience working as a Solution Architect on moderate to high complexity projects

B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent preferred

Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into solution designs

Responsibilities:

Responsible for solutioning projects with budgets: $5M+

Accountable for the development and implementation of solution designs and conceptual architectures that address business, application, information, technical and security architectural domains

Advise on key solution architecture elements of the solution business case as part of transforming business demand into IT projects

Leadership of a team of 5-8 consultants

You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 \xe2\x80\x93 6th Ave S.W.

Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
