This position can be worked out of our Calgary or Saskatoon corporate offices

A Senior Solutions Architect is responsible for providing technical leadership on projects and initiatives. They work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical designs and deliverables.

This position reports to the Sr Manager, IT EA, SHE & Sustainability.

What you will do:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions that align with the overall business objectives.
• Analyze industry products and offerings to determine the right technology fit for the business.
• Conduct periodic reviews and assessments of implemented solutions to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with evolving business needs.
• Identify gaps that exist in technology systems and formulate, modify, and integrate improved software and hardware applications, ensuring that it harmonizes with existing systems.
• Design and develop end-to-end technology solutions that encompass software applications, infrastructure, data management, and integration points, ensuring that the new solution meets industry regulations and internal solution patterns.
• Work with internal and external resources to identify potential solutions to meet identified business needs.
• Oversee implementation of solutions throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and support clients as a technical advisor.
• Support product roadmap development and multi-year planning processes.
• Communicate the architecture to the stakeholders and collaborate and coordinate with existing domain architects in the formalization and adoption of IT standards and procedures.
• Strong responsibility ensuring delivery of solutions and may act as product owner.

• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results within defined timelines.
• Proficient in architectural frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and experience in applying them to real-world scenarios.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
• Minimum of 10 - 12 years of experience related to IT Management or other information technology solutions architecture role, including expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-level software solutions, including web applications, mobile applications, and integrations.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are desirable
