About the role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the Imaginet PMO and provide leadership support for best practices in client engagement. You will also consult and elevate our engagement management experience on client projects. Our customers range in size and span many industries \xe2\x80\x93 finance, insurance, retail, manufacturing, and petrochemical, among others. We are always improving our processes internally and with our customers, so there is always a way to challenge yourself.

Imaginet does not sponsor work visas or offer relocation fees. We will only consider candidates living in the Winnipeg area. Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid work permit. Travel to and from the US and Canada may be required.

  • Get S#!T done, together. You\xe2\x80\x99ll work with teams of highly technical consultants providing a unique and elevated client experience to delivery high quality solutions.
  • Get it done right. You\xe2\x80\x99ll perform continuous review of agile project management methodologies, incorporating industry standards so you can ensure we\xe2\x80\x99re providing best practices to support our engagement delivery.
  • Lead a team of PMs in supporting delivery of Consulting IT projects with the goal of building and retaining an innovative, engaged, and high performing team.
  • Create and maintain a positive working environment in alignment with Imaginet\xe2\x80\x99s core values.
  • Provide expertise, leadership, and support to our project delivery team in alignment with our agile project management methodology.
  • Mentor and coach project managers to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Oversee the overall performance of the PMO and ensure alignment with the organization\'s goals and objectives. This includes evaluation and communication of project/portfolio financials, health, and other PMO KPIs along with recommendations for improvements.
  • Responsible for innovation in leading the PMO function and establishing and evolving frameworks for agile project management standards, processes, methodologies, and related tools.
  • Responsible for ensuring projects follow established standards, processes, and methodologies in the PMO framework.
  • Foster partnerships with various levels of leadership to provide exceptional customer service to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Responsible for managing of PMO staff and contractors.
  • Lead PMO operational projects.
Requirements

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring to the team:
  • 10 years of progressive experience in project management with proficiency across the full project lifecycle including five years of PMO management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies in both Agile and Waterfall.
  • Practitioner certification is an asset - Project Management Professional PMP, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner PMI-ACP.
  • A drive for continuous learning and development, with a focus on remaining current with industry best practices and emerging trends in project management and delivery.
  • Exceptional talent development skills with a commitment to coaching, mentoring, and retaining a solid team to support stakeholder needs.
  • Demonstrated strengths in negotiation, budgeting, planning, organizing, and delegating.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including superior critical thinking skills and decision-making confidence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills coupled with strong verbal and written communication and demonstrated commitment to customer experience.
  • Proven ability to monitor and report on PMO performance to various levels of leadership at both detailed and summary presentation levels.

Travel policy:

Imaginet has clients world-wide, most in North America, and not necessarily located locally. Work-life balance is important to us, and we always try to accommodate both our employees and our clients. For some projects where our clients are local, we may work in their offices for most or all of the project.
