ADP is the leading provider of Human Capital Management software (HCM) and services, and the ADP Lifion Team is its future, working to build a robust and scalable Next-Gen HCM solutions for clients around the world. We are looking to add an enthusiastic engineer to join our UI domain platform team.

Lifion is a low-code platform used by internal developers to build HR web applications. The UI domain of the platform team oversees everything involved in rendering customer-facing UI, using React on the front-end and Node.js on the back end, part of a larger microservices architecture powered by Kubernetes and the full gambit of the AWS cloud native services. Were responsible for a complex React app, a component library, and a handful of backend services.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:
  • You'll start every day with a daily standup, working with your team to understand responsibilities, identify issues, and communicate coding priorities. Our software engineers make critical design decisions and collaborate with team members in the process.
  • Working in two-week sprints, you must keep up with deadlines and coding standards. Tools could include Node.js, GoLang, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon SQS, Amazon Neptune, and others.
  • Own a complex React application and a handful of backend microservices that communicate with the rest of the platform
  • Collaborate with internal design teams to build components with an engaging UX
  • Build high visibility React components and pages
  • Maintain an extensive internal component library via a thorough set of automated end-to-end tests
  • You have 5 - 8 years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
  • You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5 years of Full Stack development experience with a modern web frontend framework such as React or Angular
  • Experience building components which are highly performant and scalable, while being easily maintainable
  • Experience with both OOP and functional programming principles
  • Understanding of web markup, including HTML and CSS
  • Knowledge of agile development methodology
  • An eye for detail both from a software and a UX point of view
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:
  • In depth and proven full stack enterprise experience
  • Experience with React and state management frameworks such as Redux
  • Knowledge of latest React 16 offerings, and supporting both class-based components and functional components
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Experience building and maintaining end-to-end tests using technologies such as Selenium or Puppeteer
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration & Delivery methodologies and tools
