Are you a Licensed Pharmacist who is able to counsel patients and have a keen interest in supporting pharmacy service delivery in a non-traditional setting? We are supporting a client pharmacy in Calgary, AB with their search for a Senior Staff Pharmacist who will join a well-established pharmacy team and will focus on the delivery of patient care and service to specialty pharmacy patients. This is a 16 month contract position, with potential for permanent hire!This is a pharmacy with a steady pace - the prescriptions are higher touch than in a traditional retail or community setting. You would work with the team of assistants and other licensed pharmacy professionals to deliver service in this setting. The pharmacist would be expected to work Monday to Friday between 9am to 5pm. There may be some requirement for shared on-call from time to time - we can discuss this with you in detail. - Ensuring compliance with College of Pharmacy requirements when delivering pharmacy service
- Ensuring patient care and safety while completing all typical duties of a Pharmacist in a specialty pharmacy setting
- Overseeing portfolio of patient files ensuring understanding of order intakes from new patients that are part of specific drug programs, and processing and verifying the prescriptions, in addition to counselling patients over the phone
- Receiving and completing drug orders, and verifying patient information to ensure accurate delivery to homes and infusion clinics
- Other duties as required to support operations, teamwork, patient care and safetyQualifications
- Licensed Pharmacist in AB and in good standing with the College of Pharmacy
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for providing excellent service
- Detail-oriented with excellent time-management skills
- Great with multi-tasking and the ability to prioritize different tasks
- Experience with Kroll is a strong asset
- Minimum 2 years of experience practicing as a RPhSummary
