Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Senior Mechanical Designer within our Engineering Services team, you will contribute to the development of innovative technical solutions for the telecommunications and aerospace sectors. You will collaborate closely with Senior engineers to design and model complex mechanical components and assemblies, primarily onsite, while working with a multidisciplinary team across a variety of projects.
Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a small team of mechanical designers/engineers, supporting their technical development in alignment with departmental goals.
• Conduct performance reviews and technical competency assessments.
• Oversee the design and delivery of mechanical components, including 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and engineering specifications.
• Manage offsite delivery teams, providing technical oversight and ensuring quality of outsourced work packages.
• Participate in and lead design review meetings such as SRR, ERR, PDR, CDR, and change boards.
• Ensure compliance with project budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines and serve as a liaison between project management and technical teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, reduce costs, and improve delivery timelines.
• Approve final designs and ensure proper release within Teamcenter, following client standards.
• Escalate technical issues and manage priorities across multiple concurrent projects.
• Perform final quality reviews and lead peer QA checks.
• Provide GD&T input and review.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Siemens NX with at least 3 years of recent experience.
• Proven experience in designing moving mechanical parts.
• Leadership experience of 3-5 years.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7-10+ years of experience, or 15+ years as a Mechanical Designer.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in space, ground systems, and machine design.
• Strong skills in both 3D and 2D design.
• Excellent design and leadership capabilities.

Work Environment
The role is primarily onsite, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. You will work across various projects in the telecommunications and aerospace sectors, using technologies like Siemens NX and Teamcenter. The environment encourages continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and reduce costs. Job Type & Location
