Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction estimating and project management, with a strong ability to negotiate and build relationships with clients and subcontractors. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate pricing and cost management for various construction projects.

Duties

Prepare detailed estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and overhead costs. Utilize software tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create precise estimates and manage project documentation. Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and scope. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to prepare comprehensive bids. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing and terms. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and pricing strategies. Provide support during the bidding process by answering questions from clients or stakeholders. Review contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with company standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is preferred. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in pricing and documentation. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Knowledge of project management principles is a plus. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
