RESPONSIBILITIES



Assemble, flash firmware/software, and prepare prototype, pre-production, and production-grade electronic products for testing. Assemble and verify electronic functionality of WOLF products following established procedures and best practices. Conduct electronics, assembly, software, and firmware conformance verification as per defined standards. Perform IPC-certified rework and repair operations on PCB assemblies, including removal/replacement of components, pad/trace repair, solder joint refinishing, and inspection in accordance with IPC standards. Conduct hand soldering operations (SMT and through-hole), cleaning, conformal coating application/removal, and other board-level tasks. Inspect repaired assemblies to ensure compliance with product quality requirements and maintain proper documentation on engineering reworks. Initiate PCA modifications based on test lead configuration through work instructions. Calibrate test systems quarterly and validate standalone/basic test systems for accuracy and efficiency. Execute design and product validation test plans (DVTP/PVTP), recording results in the corporate project tracking system. Record and report anomalies, deviations, and non-conformances in the quality management and engineering systems. Assist in root cause analysis and propose corrective actions to resolve manufacturing and quality issues. Create Production NCRs on failures and collaborate with Quality to determine fix/scrap status of inventory. Apply logical thinking and debugging techniques in troubleshooting circuits and resolving non-conformances. Communicate with Logistics, Quality, and Engineering teams to acquire boards/equipment and resolve issues with products or shipments. Review work instructions (WIs) and deviations, correcting errors and helping to refine documentation. Manage rework station inventory and escalate material needs to the Sr. Manager when necessary. Adhere strictly to ESD and FOD standards, including routine testing and appropriate apparel usage. Maintain a clean lab environment and implement the 5S organizational methodology. Participate in production and project meetings, updating team members on progress and receiving project instructions. Collaborate with the Production team to enhance WOLF's processes and technology offerings through constructive feedback. Provide design feedback (ECOs) and innovative suggestions via the issue tracking system. Promote continuous improvement by suggesting workflow enhancements and adhering to defined processes. Maintain and protect corporate IP, systems, tools, and customer proprietary information. Handle chemical inventory management, ensuring safe use, storage, and timely disposal of expired chemicals. Ensure all safety procedures, processes, and best practices are followed, especially for chemical and equipment handling within calibration and expiration requirements.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS



The following ARE required:

3-5+ Years of experience working in Electronics Product Testing, Qualification, Validation or Design. Strong knowledge and comfort level working with computer systems, and skilled at resolving problems when working with computers. Experience with mechanical assembly of products following an assembly drawing. Excellent command of written and spoken English. A "can-do" attitude with a desire to be a team player. Technical writing is well structured, effective in purpose, free of grammatical errors and succinct. Experience in the use of CAD, PCB Layout Software (OrCAD/Allegro), Schematic Software (OrCAD), Gerber Viewer, MS Office, and a high-level of general PC knowledge. Experience working in an ISO 9000/9001 or AS9100D or workplace Demonstrates competency in the use of lab tools and debug / analysis instruments (Multi-meter, Oscilloscope).
The following are NOT required, but would be considered an asset:

Experience with soldering equipment, fine pitch / nano assembly, 0402 or 0201 component size, surface mount IC's (IPC 7711/21 Certified, or previously certified given highest preference)*
Experience with PLM Software such as Omnify Experience with electronics inspection (IPC 610) Applies logical thought and debug approach in troubleshooting and circuit analysis Knowledge and ability to work comfortably using Linux operating systems. Experience creating test applications / scripted environments. Capable of resolving application and driver-related problems in Windows. Experience with the design or creation of test fixtures/test jigs Experience with embedded software/microprocessors. Experience in Root Cause Failure Analysis of electronic products Experience with high-speed interfaces such as PCI Express Gen3/Gen4, 3G-SDI, 4K Video (DisplayPort/HDMI), GigE/10GigE/100GIGE LAN. Experience working with any of the following video standards: SMPTE-292M, SMPTE-424M, DisplayPort 1.2 and greater, HDMI 2.0 and greater, DVI, Analog video (NTSC/PAL), MPEG 2, H.264, H.265.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS



Electronics Engineering Diploma (Technician), Advanced Diploma (Technologist) or Bachelor of Engineering CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or CQT (Certified Quality Technician) is an asset IPC/JSTD Certification highly desired (IPC 7711/21, IPC 610 given highest preference)
