Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Corporate Development & Strategy (CD&S) you will work with a high performing, collaborative group with a strong track record of transaction execution.

This position is located in Calgary, AB.

What you will do:

• Demonstrate safety leadership, actively contributing to Nutrien\'s safety culture
• Offer expert consultation to transaction execution teams on acquisition and divestiture opportunities
• Oversee development and promulgation of analytical standards throughout CD&S and Nutrien as a whole
• Provide thought leadership in "sizing up" the risks and rewards of investment opportunities
• Drive idea generation and create alternatives to enhance value / reduce risk
• Serve as sounding board and sense check for team members as they work through valuation and other analytical challenges
• Oversee formal process for review by team members of models and presentations prepared by other teams
• Leverage knowledge of both theoretical principles and practical modelling experience to guide team members in their work evolving analytical standards
• Ensure application of analytical standards and processes to support valuation, structuring and negotiation of transactions within Corporate Development and Nutrien as a whole
• Utilize communication and influence skills to attain buy in for adherence to corporate wide analysis and presentation standards
• Oversee the preparation of presentations for executive leadership and the Board of Directors
• Present analytically driven insights clearly and concisely to executive stakeholders including the Nutrien ELT and Board of Directors
• Work effectively to support continued development of a small, highly accountable team
• Display a flexible \xe2\x80\x9ccan do\xe2\x80\x9d attitude and willingness to \xe2\x80\x9cdive in\xe2\x80\x9d where required
• Manage team to deadlines on multiple projects of varying complexities
• Take a proactive approach to the tasks at hand and respond quickly to the needs of the CD&S Group and the operating businesses

What you will bring:

• University degree in Finance, Economics, or other relevant discipline
• CFA designation, MBA, or Graduate degree in Economics is considered an asset
• Proven track record in building and maintaining high performance teams
• 10 - 15 years of experience in Corporate Development, Finance, Consulting, or related roles with excellent analytical and financial modelling capability, especially with respect to capital investment and acquisition-opportunity analysis
• Effective oral and written communication skills, and a proven ability to present complex information in a clear and compelling manner
• Strong organizational and time management skills
