Capital Markets and Direct Financial Services provides integrated services and products aimed at serving investors as well as corporate and institutional clients globally. The Capital Markets business is a recognized leader in the industry specializing in investment banking advisory services, corporate lending and research. In addition, the Direct Financial Services arm provides alternate services and solutions such as direct investing, direct banking and unique international payment solutions. What you\xe2\x80\x99ll Be Doing

Reporting to the Managing Director, Simplii Financial, this role has direct responsibility for leading the strategy and evolution of the Simplii Credit Card & Unsecured lending portfolio. The individual develops compelling, industry leading products under the Simplii brand, manages and owns the product strategy and performance and supports the day to day management of Simplii products. The role is critical in influencing the ongoing development and growth of the Simplii Financial franchise and it\xe2\x80\x99s positive contribution to the CIBC enterprise.

How you\'ll succeed

Product Strategic Planning - Own the development of annual strategic business plans and business cases for Simplii Credit Cards & Unsecured lending products. Work with the Managing Director, product peers, your team, and cross functional resources to achieve business objectives including NPS, revenue, profit, volume and market share goals. Drive sales effectiveness, create operational efficiency and strategic congruence. Maintain and share product value propositions and strategies that align to the Simplii brand and franchise strategy. Accountable for performance of Simplii Credit Card & Unsecured lending product KPIs through strategic management and ongoing analysis of trends and the competitive landscape. Track and manage credit card and unsecured loans funds acquisitions, balances, purchase volume growth. Support monthly/quarterly/annual financial forecasts. Oversee continuous monitoring and management of product risks and controls while working closely with all risk stakeholders including Fraud, Collections and Recovery . Drive and own the technology roadmap for the products to continuously stay ahead of the market and customer expectation. Take ownership of all aspects of the business to ensure that the business objectives and customer expectations are exceeded, consistently.

Product Development and CX - Promote a continuous review and analysis of product performance and market positioning. Build and maintain expertise on the Direct and Digital Banking market and key trends in product and client experience. Design, recommend, execute and analyze product and CX enhancements to ensure growth and client loyalty with Simplii Products. Develop product enhancement opportunities that help achieve franchise objectives through assessment of cost/benefits, CX impact, performance and improved alignment with target segments. Manage product development, campaign and product operation costs.

Team Management: Provide senior leadership and effective management of business unit staff to influence employee commitment to the organization, to the team, and to their job by. Setting appropriate context when assigning work to ensure that individuals\xe2\x80\x99 roles support the achievement of the business unit\xe2\x80\x99s priorities and CIBC\xe2\x80\x99s overall goals. Building team and individual capabilities by providing development opportunities such as job shadowing, special projects, and training. Managing performance by providing fair and accurate formal and informal feedback, identifying and removing obstacles to performance and by explaining how performance expectations align with business priorities. Creating a positive work environment and being an effective role model by championing CIBC\xe2\x80\x99s mission, vision and values. Ensuring compliance with policies, standards, guidelines and controls by applying the policies and controls fairly and consistently so employees understand what to expect, and hiring the right people in the right jobs to align individual capabilities with job requirements and business unit goals.

Who You Are

You have Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce or related field.

You have trong and extensive background in financial services with 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience

Product Management and strategic planning.

You have the ability to plan and coordinate several initiatives simultaneously

You have strong ability to understand and interpret complex information, identify patterns and trends in new or strategic areas, and independently develop recommendations in order to respond to urgent business priorities

Strong analytical, problem-solving and influential skills

You are a strong communicator. Excellent communication and presentation skills sufficient to prepare, present material to and influence executive audience
