JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Sr. Director of Marketing & PR Canada and SA you are responsible to create and implement successful marketing and PR programs to build country/regional brand awareness, acquire and engage customers, generate leads and retain customers for Robert Half.
You will balance your knowledge of competitive trends, market opportunities, business needs/operational priorities and customer expectations as the foundation of the marketing and PR programs for each region. You will use program performance metrics and KPIs to determine the optimal mix of marketing and PR programs and channels to support business goals and successful customer outcomes equally.
You’ll work closely with business leaders and marketing and PR colleagues to position Robert Half as a trusted business partner for customers and an employer of choice. You’ll partner closely with the leaders to ensure brand and positioning associated with local programming aligns to our global strategy and is relevant for customers in local markets.
Programs and channel leadership and oversight includes: digital advertising, organic search, events, alliances/sponsorships, sales enablement, thought leadership, content marketing/blog, social media, PR, email, job boards, email/marketing automation, web and app. This leadership role will partner closely with senior field leaders to spot trends and business opportunities that can be maximized through the marketing and PR programs regionally.
You and your teams will be exceptional business-partners with excellent relationships and credibility among stakeholders. You’ll create value-add updates and reporting to effectively communicate marketing and PR activities’ measurement and goals/outcomes. Plus, demonstrate how our programs are differentiated and allow Robert Half to stand-out in your local markets.
You will source, lead, and drive our vendor and agency relationships for Canada, including PR and/or marketing agency oversight and management, annual negotiations, RFPs and quarterly business review meetings. While supporting a similar strategy through your senior manager in SA.
You are accountable to create strategic marketing and PR plans, socialize and secure buy-in/or support when needed and to implement the plans successfully. This includes considering resourcing (team capacity), budgets and balancing any global marketing or PR key initiatives.
Working closely with your team you will monitor and review program outcomes and results frequently. You and your team will be responsible to provide stakeholders regular report-outs of program wins, KPIs and preview programming that is upcoming.
You will be an expert on local market dynamics and the impact on our local business and marketing or PR programs. With this in-mind, you’ll be an excellent communicator and facilitator to action against the right trends. Including partnering with EDs, staff development, BT/deployment, Protiviti and your marketing and PR colleagues around the globe.

Project leadership support
  • Working with your leader you may lead special cross-functional and/or cross-International operations programs or special projects – assigned as needed. This work is strategic in nature and requires a big-picture, innovative mind-set and collaboration with various teams and business partners.

Requirements:
  • Degree in marketing, communications or equivalent
  • 10-years’ experience in marketing and/or communications role, including management of direct reports, previous experience in (international) global, B2B/ professional services companies is ideal
  • Proven ability to execute integrated marketing and content/PR programs ranging from: web, digital advertising, events/webinars, partnerships/alliances, sponsorship and direct marketing, SEM/SEO, content creation, video, and social media.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage PR programs / teams and support media crisis management.
  • Proven expertise in managing external PR and Marketing agencies.
  • Proven experience in negotiating with vendors and partners supporting marketing & PR programs, owning contracts, and managing vendors successful.
  • Previous budget and business planning responsibility – setting and maintaining quarterly and annual budgets and ensuring advertising, sponsorship & alliances budgets are aligned with growth objectives and overall regional marketing expenses (defined by finance).
  • Ability to successfully leverage and honor global brand and related communication strategies while refining locally for optimal impact
  • Project management experience required: ability to guide and execute programs from A-Z, programs and campaigns designed specifically to support the local marketplace
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills are a must.
  • Excellent internal customer service example to partners and stakeholders.
