What's the Job?

The Senior Digital Product Owner is the person responsible for achieving maximum business value and improving the digital experience of our members across our digital products. He or she is responsible for articulating customer and systems requirements technical ecosystem complexities, ensuring their technical feasibility and maintaining business justification. The Product Owner represents the Voice of the Member.

What You'll Get To Do:

  • Ownership of the entire requirements gathering process from stakeholder engagement to user stories refinement.
  • Create, break down and prioritize user and technical stories through the Sprint planning/Backlog grooming sessions, in close partnership with the Digital Product Managers and business stakeholders, while ensuring technical feasibility in collaboration with the technical/development teams.
  • Lead and motivate the ideation and delivery teams through the different agile ceremonies and touch points.
  • Provide feedback and acceptance of new development through sprint demos.
  • Provide feedback to the ideation and delivery teams through retrospectives in constant pursuit of iterative learning and optimization.
  • Provide defect prioritization and support investigation and resolution efforts.
  • Make timely product decisions based on trade-offs, risks and mitigations provided by cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. ETS, risk, business) based on product vision, objectives and key results.
  • Coordinate and support internal technical and product documentation, training and communication for staff facing material.
  • Coordinate and support marketing support for member facing material in collaboration with the business stakeholders and digital product managers.
  • Collaborate with digital insights team on success metrics, KPIs, ad-hoc dashboard and reporting requirements.
Who We Are Looking For:
  • 3 to 5 years acting as a Product Owner for a digital product.
  • University degree in computer science, business administration, commerce, marketing or social sciences with a high level of math or statistical analysis, including or supplemented by courses in marketing and marketing research Formal education in Agile methodologies or Product Owner certification (CSPO/PSPO) an asset.
  • Proficient on Agile processes and principles.
  • Proficient use of Jira and Confluence software.
  • Advanced time management and organizational skills with the ability to work with changing priorities and tight timelines.
  • Advanced initiative to manage and prioritize a complex, heavy workload with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient communication and presentation skills, including the design and completion of professional presentations, reports and documents.
  • Proficient critical thinking, creativity, data-analysis and problem-solving skills.
