What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Partnerships Design & Operations within the Value Creation team, the Senior Consultant is a high-performing and results-oriented contributor.

The Value Creation team has a broad mandate, which includes architecting and leading the integration of new businesses into CTC, the execution of divestitures and business wind-downs, strategic and operational support for complex business initiatives, and ongoing oversight of portfolio companies and investments.

More specific to this role, the Partnerships Design & Operations team within Value Creation is primarily responsible for developing the partnership constructs behind new customer-facing value propositions. The team leads a cross-functional working group to develop, sign and operationalize new partnerships. This role works with senior leaders from across the organization to bring to life a broad spectrum of partnerships, but with a grounded focus on evolving the Triangle Rewards loyalty program.

The successful candidate for this position will exhibit strong business acumen and is comfortable working on fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous projects.

Develop and own economic/financial models that are used to understand the impact of different partnerships on the organization

Be a part of business development/partnership conversations with external parties from initial contact all the way to partnership execution

Support the preparation of presentation materials used to facilitate executive decision-making, partnership discussions/negotiations and project management

Analyse customer/member data to derive meaningful insights that support customer engagement initiatives through partnerships

Build an expertise in loyalty and be a part of the ongoing evolution of Triangle Rewards

Gather insight and aggregate information by using a range of resources, including public information, internal reports and materials, and discussions with business stakeholders across the organization

What you bring

Minimum of 2-4 years experience producing deliverables for senior decision makers and/or external clients (e.g., consulting, corporate development, investment banking)

Mix of financial acumen and business casing experience

Operational, loyalty or retail experience is considered an asset

Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration or related degree is preferred

Strong attention to detail, particularly in presentation development and spreadsheet analysis

High proficiency and efficiency in using PowerPoint (charting & formatting) and Excel (pivot tables, navigating/building complex financial models)

Strong judgement and communication skills in dealing with a senior audience, external partners and sensitive projects

Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines across multiple projects

A genuine curiosity towards retail and the Canadian Tire Corporation ecosystem
