The Professional Services Sr. Consultant is a technical specialist that implements connectivity with OpenText customers and their trading partners spanning a wide variety of industries like Financial/Insurance, Retail, Medical/Pharmaceutical, and more. They are responsible for coordinating, configuring, and testing the implementation of new connectivity and changes to existing connections, utilizing a variety of transmission protocols and connectivity methods. Candidate will be responsible for planning, clarifying, and configuring system builds, coordinating connectivity testing and production deployments, troubleshooting issues, providing consulting and guidance on system and industry protocols, and coordinating with both internal and external resources to successfully complete their assigned projects on schedule.

Professional Services Consultants are specialized IT professionals that play an integral role in the success of managed services projects on behalf of OpenText clients. They collaborate with Management, customers, trading partners, and their peers work closely with customers and their trading partners to successfully complete onboardings and migrations.

You Are Great At

The Sr. Consultant will complete assigned client connectivity projects in accordance with our clients and their trading partners, as well as with OpenText-defined policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Clarify connectivity and routing requirements with end users and communicate technical specifications to accomplish configurations on appropriate transmission platforms.
  • Implement and test backend connections to clients\' systems. Coordinate connectivity setups for their trading partners. Broker end-to-end integration testing.
  • Work closely with the OT and client project teams to ensure successful coordinated deployments.
  • Manage multiple project implementations simultaneously and deliver with quality on schedule.
  • Actively interface with OpenText SME\'s, as necessary, to clarify technical details and coordinate the setup of connectivity components.
  • Coordinate and execute client production go-live activities according to strict preset timelines.
  • Coordinate various internal and external resources to complete implementations successfully including end users, Account Executives, IT, Operations, and Data Transmission resources.
  • Respond to ad-hoc client and production support technical inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for connectivity-related tasks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Freely interact with and operate effectively and efficiently as a valued team member.
What It Takes

Knowledge:
  • Hands-on experience with Communications Protocols (AS2,SFTP, HTTPs, FTPS)
  • Connectivity Methods (Internet, VPN, MQ, Direct Connect, SOAP and Rest API)
  • Security keys and encryption certificates
  • Strong experience in working directly with customers on technical implementations.
  • Quick learner. Comes up to speed as a functional team member in a short period of time.
  • Ability to logically trouble-shoot technical issues.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of an overall team.
  • Fluent MSOffice Suite skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple simultaneous projects successfully.
  • Fast Internet connectivity.
  • Sensitivity to customers with varied levels of technical experience.
  • Ability to work effectively and directly with end users and their client sponsors.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree
Industry Experience:
  • Strong client facing skills and proven ability to multi-task.
  • 5+ years experience with large-scale client connectivity-related implementations.
  • Understanding of EDI standards and value-added networks
  • Industry experience in one or more of: Financial and Insurance, Retail, Medical/Pharmaceutical/
  • Project Management experience a plus.
