What you'll be doing
The Senior Analyst, IT Quality Assurance is responsible for developing and executing test scenarios and scripts for functional system integration and acceptance testing across multiple platforms, in compliance with established controls, standards, policies, and procedures. The role utilizes a solid understanding of business dynamics to define and document criteria for testing and present results following the defined testing methodology. The Senior Analyst, IT Quality Assurance troubleshoots problems and provides technical training to less experienced employees, maintaining test system configurations and executing test scripts using test tools for compliance with testing standards. The role uses judgement and autonomy on day to day tasks, exercising considerable latitude in analyzing and resolving complex problems during test execution, or escalating issues and concerns. The role proactively addresses problems within the scope of responsibility and identifies areas for possible improvements. Youll be joining CIBCs DFS - Simplii. Youll be hands on with all aspects of the systems testing process and provide suggestions that will ensure client needs are met with the highest quality. As a Senior Tester, youll be designing and executing of test cases and providing coaching to your team members. Youll create test cases and support your test lead that will help create the bank of the future.

How you'll succeed
Testing expertise Lead the investigation and translation of business requirements into test cases. Design and participate end-to-end testing activities for various projects across the business. Use your expertise in software development testing to provide clients with quality products that meet business and system requirements.
Leadership skills Provide advice to your team, including ongoing feedback and support. Proactively identify any potential issues throughout all test phases, and suggest possible improvements or enhancements.
Project coordination Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a projects timeline or success and provide regular status updates to the business. Keep the lines of communication open with stakeholders, and escalate issues when necessary. Ensure that all test deliverables are received, approved, and aligned to your projects timeline, budget and goals.

You can demonstrate experience in dealing with business clients, software development testing, automation, and software process improvement. You have a degree in Computer Science or business. You have experience writing and executing SQL queries, HP-ALM, JIRA, Confluence etc.
