Wireless subscriber base analysis and performance measurement are critical for understanding customer behaviour to drive growth and decision making. At Rogers our base performance metrics are some of the key indicators to measure success at Canada’s largest telecommunication company. Rogers Communications seeks a Sr Analyst to provide outstanding delivery for Wireless Reporting initiatives.
Role Summary/Accountabilities: Data Analysis Expertise

  • Incorporate data from multiple sources to provide comprehensive analysis and strategic insights
  • Perform adhoc analysis, investigations and reconciliation activities as needed
  • Leverage multiple data languages (e.g. SQL SAS) to manipulate data and build complex data sets to service requests
  • Support the finance team with data and analytics contributions to broader projects
  • Data visualization and dashboard development
  • Produce summarized analyses for key stakeholders across the organization, on time, with relevant insights
  • Perform deep dive analysis to measure and trend specific key drivers
  • Produce simple, concise presentations and visualizations of data to clearly communicate key insights
  • Effectively translate needs to insights for leadership

Relationship Management:
  • Foster successful relationships and act as a trusted advisor for team members and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners in other teams to use and understand additional data sources
  • Comfort working with senior level stakeholders and partners
  • Work well with cross-functional teams across the enterprise

Qualifications
  • Information Technology, Business degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience writing and optimizing SAS and/or SQL queries
  • 3+ years of experience building dashboards and reports preferably using Tableau
  • Solid business acumen
  • Exceptional analytical skills and sound decision-making skills
  • Ability to summarize issues and quickly solve problems
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with internal stakeholders and vendors, as required
  • Proven ability to initiate change when opportunities to improve are identified i.e. the successful candidate must be innovative to find opportunities and confident/comfortable to make opinions known and support their recommendation
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and the ability to remain organized and focused in a very fast paced environment where multiple and changing priorities are the norm
  • A motivated team player who has previously demonstrated the ability to proactively initiate plans and begin appropriate courses of action rather than waiting for direction
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Outlook
  • Familiarity of Azure Cloud environment and Databricks is nice to have
