This position is based at Vancity Community Investment Bank (VCIB), an Ontario-based subsidiary of Vancouver City Savings Credit Union (Vancity). As the Senior Account Manager, Commercial Real Estate with Vancity Community Investment Bank you will have a portfolio that consists of community impact investment financing, enabling VCIB to be a trusted advisor and partner in creating social impact and sustainable communities.

A typical day would involve:

• Originate and underwrite new commercial real estate loans ranging from $5mm - $30MM with a focus on Social Purpose Real Estate transactions (such as Green Buildings, Affordable Housing, Heritage Properties etc.)
• Manage an assigned commercial real estate portfolio, by maintaining the client business life cycle
• Conducting analyses and building financial models that will inform financial performance
• Ensure loan terms are set or changed as required to inform underwriting and borrower needs
• Manage other inquiries as needed, such as Portfolio Management, Annual Reviews, Site Visits, Monitoring and Control
• Assure covenants and regulatory requirements are met
• Act as a senior level resource to the Commercial Lending team

You Are:

• Credible: you have a proven track record of originating and negotiating transactions which were financed in the domestic marketplace.

• Strong Communicator: You have exceptional written and oral communication skills and can articulate your analyses in a clear and concise way.

You Have:

• Post-secondary education with Diploma/Degree
• A minimum of 2 years of commercial real estate underwriting experience across all asset classes (MUR, Office, Industrial, Retail)
• Experience underwriting commercial mortgages and completing ongoing portfolio management for an existing portfolio of loans
• Strong financial analysis skills with expertise in commercial real estate

The team: You will report into Senior Manager of Commercial Real Estate and work collaboratively with 4 other Commercial Real Estate professionals.

Hybrid Role: This competitively rewarded role will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity Community Investment Bank head office location and your Ontario based home office. Periodically, in-person events or activities will be required of you.
