Job Description

As the only Building Performance Contractor in Atlantic Canada we're not like every other insulation contractor out there. We're experts in Building Science and that means we take a comprehensive, whole-home approach to improving energy efficiency and comfort. We are looking to hire someone who works hard, enjoys traveling around the province and has interest in the energy efficiency industry.

This position is responsible for running a spray foam rig and installing spray foam on residential and commercial job sites.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Comply with all health and safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective
equipment as required.

Spray foam on-site and in various forms and/or structures. Trim foam and cut down any excess foam to create a smooth finish. Perform simple construction work, such as building forms to hold spray foam. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work site(s). Maintain organization and cleanliness of equipment.

Skills

Previous experience in spraying foam would be an asset - pay based on experience. Ability to follow detailed instructions. Ability to perform simple construction work. Ability to organize and maintain tools and equipment. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English both verbally and in writing. Must be able to work in an environment that requires constant moving, bending, lifting, walking, sitting or standing for extended periods of time and must be able to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment as required. Must be able to operate assigned equipment and tools. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Must have a valid class 5 drivers license and have a verifiable clean criminal record.

Position Conditions

We work all over the province of NS, so travel is mandatory.

In general, installers work in pairs, on a variety of job sites, both indoors and outdoors. Work can occur in confined spaces such as attics/crawl spaces and working at heights. Standing, bending, lifting, and ladder use are also important to installer job duties.
This position works with pressurized equipment and must be able to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment.

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
